The Lear Project Video's by Jaap and Otto

(Original thread started on 06-12-11 by Jaap and Otto)

Otto and I have put up some video's from our sim in action. It seems nowadays we spent more time flying than building, not much work has been done. A great addition that we realized is that we put a body shaker under each seat. Thanks to some sounds that Ronald (RpR) edited, we can now really "feel" the airplane! Much fun!  You can visit our website HERE

It has been a lot of fun making the video's, but there are several things that went wrong during this flight, like a baggage cart being in our path while taxiing to the runway! Also our flight model is still not as it should be, so sometimes the aircraft reacts a bit dodgy. And undoubtedly there are other things we do wrong, but thank the Lord it's only a simulation, otherwise we would have wrecked ourselves numerous times already!

Really nice videos! I've watched them a couple times now. Always nice seeing other projects and ideas!

Also glad to know I am not the only one who experiences the odd baggage cart or ground vehicle in the way! What I really hate is getting stuck behind other aircraft that won't cross a runway, very annoying!

Very nice Jaap and company! I have enjoyed watching these and I must say, you really showcase my favorite thing about full size simulators- the ability to have 2 crew operating the sim as it's supposed to be. That's my big pet peeve- operational authenticity. I have also been impressed by Vox ATC much better through your videos; even more so than the videos used to demonstrate the product by it's producers and it makes me consider getting it although I have to say, flying online with Voice @ VATSIM is the best in my opinion when you log on during heavy traffic/staff times. Keep up the great work. I did want to also mention that, although we all would love to have huge wrap around seamless projected imagery, your 3 screens look excellent and that's the way I must go if I cannot build a bigger simulator building (half of my hangar now is dedicated to the panel business). The 3 24" screens look better than I would have ever imagined. My plan is to have 3x 42"+ screens depending on the price at the time and the TH2Go.
