Roel's Learjet 45 simulator

PreviousPage 13 of 18Next

Sorry I bothered you. After sitting here searching they are for connecting to modules produced by several vendors for projects.

Examples are: push button, relay, LCD, etc. Probably not useful.

I am afraid i don’t quite follow you....

do you have examples?

Sorry.

An example is at: https://www.programmingelectronics.com/grove-system-review/

And others like it. Not really useful for Flight Sim but useful for learning about Arduino.

I did purchase a kit.

Ah , you mean those 4 pin connectors?

well, in fact the breakout boards are not different then connecting the individual wires.

vcc = 5v

gnd = ground

and other are connected to digital or analog connectors on the arduino.

Thanks Roel,

The only documentation I can find is:

VCC = 5V, GND = Ground, Signal 1 and Signal 2. The documentation that Grove provides is that.

Have you any idea what the difference in Signal 1 and 2 on a digital pin?

I think it  depends on what sort of device you connect.
Encoders need 2 digital ports , leds just one...

But i do not know these breakoutboards....

I was able to buy 4 55" full HD touchscreen's VERY cheap!!
New they cost about 5000 euro each , now 350 for the four of them ...plus some beer...:)

So planning 3 for my outside view.
I just have too little space for projectors

They do look small on the picture...but they are huge!!
..and heavy :S

My MIP is nearly finished
Most programming has been done.
I still need to do in the future; for instance my FO EFIS, there is no backlighting there.
But...it is time to move to the next step; building it all in my shell!!

Wow Roel,

You are moving fast!  It was my wife who brought your most recent work and photos to my attention with your Facebook post a few days ago.  Very impressive!

Once you get it all together you will find yourself combing back through a few things, like the EFIS backlighting for starters.  The project is always a work in progress.

Again, great work!

It is starting to look like a real sim now.
My MIP is built in the shell, Arduino's are mounted and wiring is hooked up.
I ran some tests and all is still operational ...
