Lear45 Liveries and Paint Schemes

(Original thread started on 02-02-14 by Gerry Vermaelen)

Does anyone have any Liveries and Paint Schemes for the Lear45?

I'm using one I made that uses the Bombardier house colors (red tail with 45xr on it). I've been meaning to make the files available, but just haven't gotten around to it. A pic of it is available on my site. Just click the address link in my signature below. If anybody is interested, let me know, and I can post the files.

The FSX model doesn't allow much modification, other than the tail, due to the way they set up the textures.

My friend and club member Michael Badger did a very nice paint scheme on my Lear45, Buch1 and he said the same thing ie: whoever set up the textures file did not leave much room to do logos in my case. I certainly would be interested to learn more about how paint schemes work. And I guess you (Rick) have worked with them.

Here is my plane REX at Jackson Hole just for fun. Nice sky, don't you think? Which is also REX:

I think everyone should have their own Lear 45. This one is at Jackson Hole also:

The problem with the Learjet paint kit is that it was created by Microsoft so long ago. The model itself is so low quality that the paint kit is all on one sheet as opposed to several sheets like today's high quality aircraft add-ons. So your trying to fit a lot of stuff onto one texture file. The logo can only go in a predefined location in the texture file and can only be a certain size.
