Creating a flightplan with the UNS-1

Page 1 of 2Next

Can anybody tell me why the second entered waypoint in the FPL page is shown in pink?
I see the same shown in manuals, but they don't say why it is pink?

grtz

Pink indicates that it is the waypoint you are flying to. So when you start a flight plan, you start from and airport and the second waypoint is the first you fly to.

ah ok...simpler then what I was thinking 😉

Another question:

The degree's of the waypoint... what is this indicating?
It is not the bearing...?!?

Yep, it’s the bearing between the waypoints in magnetic degrees.

Jason Hite FlightDeckSoft

hmmm.. yes that would figure.
But the FMS1 software show 22 degrees when starting at airport eheh and enter destination eham .
weird...

LittleNavMap planner tells me it is 335 degrees

Which FMS software and which airports?

uns 1.1

departure EHEH

Destination EHAM

V1.2 has been out for several years, maybe you should try that version. It works correctly in my latest dev version, but I've been making so many changes in preparation for V2.0 launch that I'm hundreds of code changes away from v1.1.

Thanks jason , i will try this version!

Hey guys,

Dugald, sent me a message reference this subject.  He said,

"It is Magenta as it is the active way point leg in the plan.  If you select Nav 1 page and then use the DTO or command a FM/To WPT it will always be active in pink."

If you have any other questions or need any real world confirmations, he would be happy to help.

Great topic by the way!  (Looking forward to getting more involved on this side of the simulation myself.)
