xtremeprototype Learjet 25 V3

Hello,

I'm just curious on thoughts about this addon for prepar3d v5?  It looks beautiful and it's very close to "study" level if it's not already study level.  I use the Flight1 Tech GTN750 (it's the advanced one that can be networked) and the WXR weather radar from Milviz with Active Sky.  It's pretty cool.

Anyway, I'm just curious about opinions on this aircraft model?  As much as I'd like to build a jet simulator, I probably can't afford it.  I'm building a flyelite setup.  I just dropped $2700 on the software and a few hardware modules and I have a LONG way to go.  Any suggestions and/or tips about learjets or even simulators / avionics and ideas would be very welcome!  I hope everyone is well!

Cordially,

Hi Jason,

I have to say first, the fellas here in Hangar45 only have eyes for the Lear45.  We have invested tens of thousands of dollars and many thousands of hours to the development of the Lear45.  With that said, it is still cool to see what other builders and developers are coming out with.  A VR package like this might be nice for the guy who is busy building their full scale Lear45 project and in the meantime, they can fly a VR version of a similar aircraft like this Lear25.

I took a quick look at it to see what it is all about.  If anyone else is interested, here is the link:

Right off the bat, it looks to be well supported with the release of it's third version just a couple weeks ago.  I like the fact that it has WX radar, (requires a separate purchase though)  This is something that we are still working on with the Lear45 and might have to wait to see what MSFS 2020 has to offer.  Hopefully a weather display generator that we can simply plug into and we can create our own display for the Lear45.

Without spending too much time on this, I could not find anywhere that says it has a host of hardware offsets to support full scale sim building.  I would not expect that to be the case being that most of the gauges in this model are vacuum gauges.  In other words, this is a high fidelity flight sim for virtual cockpit users.  It appears to be a really nice rendition of the Lear25.

If you did not purchase either of the previous version, you are probably going to get your monies worth with this product if you are looking to fly a Lear25 in VR.  The only major grip I can find is that the developers have pissed a lot of the previous owners off by charging them to purchase version 3 which is basically a bunch of bug fixes.  For $40, if I had time to actually fly something in VR, I would buy it.
