Hey Roel, I have watched several of Russ Barlow's videos, but I have not seen this one yet. This is a very interesting and useful application for guys popping out their displays and moving them to other monitors or PCs. Have you had a chance to try this yet? I am curious if the performance will hold up on the Server PC with several popout displays like what we are doing along with generating the outside visuals. One thought that comes back to me is if there is a performance hit on the main Server PC, we could set up a "clone" Server PC that would be running a second copy of MSFS2020/2024 where it's only job would be to stream popout window data to remote monitors on other PCs. This would free up the main Server PC to focus solely on the outside visuals. This was an idea we had back when we thought we might have to run a "hybrid sim" running MSFS2020 on the main Server PC for the outside visuals and P3D on a secondary Server PC to run the Lear45 model. Thankfully it looks like we are past that best bad idea at the time! (Just doing a little thinking outside the box.) Hi Ron I did some brief tests; Running MSFS 0n one PC and the client version on another (poor specs PC) Russ Barlow also mentioned this in his video; the other popout managers take more resources then this one. This glassout software is also easier to automate to popup on the right position on remote PC's. So this seems great for home cockpit building! I've been considering returning back to MSFS for the scenery and the quality of the G1000 NXi. You may remember I have the RealSimGear G1000 suite (not cheap). They don't support P3D and MSFS multi-monitor support in MSFS was a pain. You all are much more patient than I and more technically astute. I have 5 TVs for my external views. I ask for all input of your experience and techniques with adding external views to your screens and projections. The biggest issues I had were alignment and reaching beyond 180° on either side. Four of the TVs are front and right side views on the client PC and one for the left view. Any and all input would be highly appreciated. Hi guys, It's been a while. Hey Dave, I currently don't have my outside visuals working so I can't say for sure, but I do believe MSFS has the ability to expand your outside visuals without a whole lot of trouble. And if you are going to be using flat screen monitors/LCDs, you don't have to worry about warping software, like Fly Elise NG. Hopefully Mark can pipe up and confirm how he is expanding his outside visuals. Again, I am pretty sure he is using some of the built in tool with MSFS. Here is a video explaining some of those features. https://youtu.be/UpTBsCJUng4 Hey Dave, I currently don't have my outside visuals working so I can't say for sure, but I do believe MSFS has the ability to expand your outside visuals without a whole lot of trouble. Here is a video explaining some of those features. I have a triple monitor setup with 3x55" screens. Setup is really easy in MSFS2024, follow the video Ron posted above. I simply setup my displays at a +-90 degree offset which works well. Only caveat is I think these options are now under the Graphics-Advanced Options, NOT in the experimental tab. Also, the options there under are now labeled as pitch roll yaw offset, NOT lateral, vertical, roll. I have a triple monitor setup with 3x55" screens. Hey guys, Jason and Mark have been "spearheading" efforts to test Jet45 in the latest and greatest flight sim engine which is currently MSFS2024. Thankfully this was made possible by the hybrid Robertsv Lear45 which is based on the CJ4 found in MSFS2020. The Robertsv Lear45 hybrid model was only intended to be used in MSFS2020, however, we have found that with a few tweaks and fixes, it can be used in MSFS2024. It's not perfect but it does give us a viable path to push forward with development and testing in preparation of the JustFlight Lear45 "Professional" in the works. Jason now has a huge advantage working out the details of what it will take to fully implement Jet45 within the newest and most advanced flight sim, MSFS2024! This post will cover the missing sounds and sound files needed in order for the Robertsv Lear45 to work within MSFS2024. (The following instructions were created and compiled by Mark Speechley) First, download the zip file as soon as possible due to Dropbox is not permanent: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/bn28qvuk6mgwkoe3kfotg/Lear-files.zip?rlkey=y9d82haep78aby7kz91w22p28&st=phtcr2e6&dl-0 In the Dropbox zip file: 1. Place the Sound Folder in the Robertsv Learjet, root directory in Community folder. NOTE: This Sound Folder came from the CJ4 Aircraft directory so you can save it from that location as well if the Dropbox option above fails. This sound file is TOO LARGE for this forum, otherwise it would be made available here. 2. Copy and replace the Aircraft.cfg in Robertsv Learjet. NOTE: Attached to this post is a copy of the updated Aircraft.cfg that is found in the Dropbox file. 2.1 The required fix, is line 85, sound, under FLTSIM.0 , same again in line 118 and Line 151. You just need to change (Mark's address), to suit your own address, for the newly placed Sound folder. The fix is . Must have ' fallback.1 ' inserted. 2.2 Not required, but whilst there, had issues with ATC_model="45" and model="45" in BeyondATC. It refused MSFS2024, LittleNavMap and Plan G Flight Plans due to '45" not differentiating which plane with just '45' in description. Change to "LJ45" from "45" wherever found, fixed error. Seems to be no issues since. Additionally, there is a missing piece, the Layout.json It has not been updated for the changes we have done so far, so here is the last procedure: 1. Download this zip from Mark's Dropbox. Unzip. Or... Download it yourself from github and unzip if necessary: https://github.com/HughesMDflyer4/MSFSLayoutGenerator/releases The file you are looking for is MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe 2. Place this exe file in the robertsv-learjet45 directory in the community Folder. You know you have the right one as it has layout.json and manifest.json 3. Drag and drop layout.json onto MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe. This will cause a quick scan of the robertsv-learjet folder and write a new layout.json WITH our changes previously done. If all correct, the new layout.json should have a new timestamp. 4. Restart MSFS2024, choose the Robertsv-Learjet45, check for daytime and load runway, NOT parking. Runway will start with engines running. You now should hear the engines running along with other sounds associated with the Robertsv Lear45 model. Hopefully the sounds are all good now with MSFS2024! If you are still having issues and not hearing the Learjet sounds which are really the CJ4 sounds while using the Robertsv Learjet, uninstall the Robertsv Learjet and reinstall. Then try these procedures above again. Thank you to Mark for finding a solution to this problem! At this time, both Mark and Jason have proven this fix works. If you have any questions or issues getting this to work for yourself, please post here. In the near future, I will be applying this fix to my MSFS2024 / Robertsv Lear45 model and will add any additional notes if necessary. As a follow up here, one thing I have found is that Jet45 is currently 'unable' to turn the generators on/off. So if you start the A/C using CTRL-E, you should get a good start up, but using Jet45 V2 and engine start through the physical engine/fuel panel, will result in the generators being left off, so you will quickly drain the batteries and wonder why your FGC no longer works during your flight (and your standby ADI goes to sleep). This all does performs good.
It is a bit, what Russ also mentions, like the Airmanager streaming option (Only available for Xplane)
The other MSFS popout manager is more of a hassle and uses more tooling like the spacedesk I have tested.
