Great start, Jason! Especially for the guys without the real manual...

 

In the tutorial part 1 you mentioned that you have only a clue what is shown when you tick the SID in the DATA/NAV page. Indeed the complete SID is shown there, waypoints, courses to and level information. You can have a deeper look into this in the real manual part Database - Terminal Procedures. I can provide pictures of the mentioned book pages if needed but I think you have the manual.

I know it is not a Lear45 but I found this FMS tutorial in reference to a Lear60, pretty informative. A lot more to it than I ever thought. Had to share!

I watched the Lear60 tutorial that Genoroof posted and thought that it should be moved here so that everyone can fully appreciate what Jason is on the way of implementing perfectly. Yes, this Lear60 tutorial is informative, but what is truly impressive is the Flightdecksoft FMS that Jason has created! The depths that I have gone in it so far is nearly spot on!

 

While watching the Lear60 video, I knew exactly what the first officer was going to do next because of all the testing that I have done with the Flightdecksoft FMS software. A tribute to Jason's incredible talents and hard work! Thanks Jason! If you have not tried the trial version you need to!

 

Additionally, this is a re-post of a video that Eric made a few years ago in my simulator while the FMS software was still in beta testing. Compare this video with that of the Lear60 tutorial video above and see if you can find any differences between the two for fun.

Chris, great find! I have plenty of resources now for the FMS, but a PDF in color is a bonus for memory retention.....and an easier read. Thanks for that.
