Thanks guys, Ha! No worries on the photo Will. That's a sign that you are up to your eyeballs in good work! Every now and then I will post up a photo of what a mess looks like so that guys can better appreciate the end result. Next time I got a good mess brewing I will snap a shot for you. LOL Creating a modular raised floor system was something that has been on my "to do list" for a couple years now and so glad it's now finished. By rebuilding the sim from the ground up, there was no way to avoid getting this done but doing it here and now! Today I just took the time to mount the heel plates in place. This was not as easy as you might think. Marking the holes on carpet was sketchy. The last thing I wanted to do was get this wrong and end up with crooked plates. Drilling through the carpet was equally as challenging. It took most of the day but in the end, success! These heel plates are from my V1.0 build, there was nothing wrong with them except they are not heated like the real ones. A couple more photos of the pedal covers in place. In this photo you can see just how offset the heel plates are. I was temped to set them symmetrically even with one another but that would not be correct. The pedal covers were also saved over from my V1.0 build. They are not exactly the correct shape but that's okay. Remember, what I have under the pedal covers is Tom's old pedal design which is not adjustable and does not include the parallelogram effect. In the future I will be replacing them with my own custom V2.0 pedal design. But at least I have all the peripheral work around the pedals complete which will make that transition from old to new much smoother when that time comes. The only other thing I still want to get complete down in this area is the side trim panels. The ones I have now will not fit and need to also be updated. Additionally I want to go ahead and get the column boots created and installed. I never had them in my first build. Time for some boots! So I guess I have one more update coming to this thread. I feel like I am finally gaining some traction with my sim! Thanks guys, Ha! No worries on the photo Will. That's a sign that you are up to your eyeballs in good work!
