This has always been a good question and not easily answered because there are many way to measure the column length.  And it depends if you are measuring in a real Lear45, my version of the sim with a raised floor system or something different from either of these examples.  With that said, I will give you what I have and what myself and others have found to be very comfortable.

Measuring from the base floor up to the top of the column head including the thickness of the fiberglass column head cover is 32 7/8".  See photos below:
