Master Warning / Caution FSUIPC Offset

Page 1 of 2Next

I am trying to read FSUIPC offset 73D5 Bit 3 and Bit 4 to turn on or off the master warning and caution led's
But when in the sim the warnings are indicated and i have started the Jet45 PFD, MFD or CWP driver there is no bit switched to 1 ?

What am i doing wrong?

Roel,

Are there any cautions or warnings displayed on the EICAS?  You have to have the EICAS MFD running for those bits to be set.

Ah...thats the one !
I did not had EICAS running.
But i noticed that the warning and caution lights do not turn on at all events, for instance when i am at the runway and i press gear up while still at the ground there is no warning?

Is this by design?

Glad that worked out!  There is no warning for attempting to raise the gear  on the ground. Does the real Lear have that?

Hmmm, good question, i am not sure.

it does light up in fsx and prepard3d

i followed a solution from this guy

i can define triggers for the warning light, so thats cool.

I have a Lear45 pilot friend that may be able to answer this question.  But first, he might have a question for me: "Why would we do that?"  He might have to get in the Class D Lear45 sim to answer that question safely.

I will let you know.

That is cool Ron!

I am curious which events trigger the warnings 👍

From the flight safety Lear 45 Training Manual:

Red Gear Warning: Any gear not down and flaps > 25 °, or both thrust levers < MCR and RA < 500'

Yellow Gear Warning: RA invalid; both TL's < MCR < 170 KIAS; < 14.5k' and any gear not locked DN, or either gear door not up & locked or> 210 KIAS; a gear in transition, or either main gear door is not up and locked

So the gear warning when on the ground is not what really is triggered on an actual lear 45?

Hey Roel,

To be clear, you are referring to the GEAR indicator within the CWP correct?  If so, no it does not trigger when on the ground if you put the gear toggle in the up position.  However, we do believe that a warning horn will sound if the gear toggle is put in the up position while on the ground.

I have talked to my Lear45 pilot buddy and he said he is not sure because that is something that they would never do.  He said he will look into it and maybe check it out in the Class D sim when he gets a chance.
