Prepar3d V5.2 released

Hi all,

Well for anyone flying, which should be all of you, P3D v5.2 has been released.

I have noticed a few slight changes but nothing monumental. Probably under the hood is the most change.

EA still caused an Nvidia crash when exiting VR, so turning EA off is the easiest remedy still. Give it a try though, it just might be my hardware combination. I may roll back a few video drivers which may fix it.

Nothing like progress !

Up til now prepar3d i had many issues with prepar3d.
I managed to get v4 after lots of tweaking running with scenery addon's, but v5 kept crashing on all my PC's, due to hardware.
but this v5.2 is MUCH better!!!
No crashes anymore, it runs smoothly also on older pc's, and the graphics are also better!

It seems prepar3d finally is out of the beta phase 🙂

V5.2 since I installed just the client has been an interesting ride. I've read quite extensively on a number of sites and people have had a mixed but mainly favourable response.

The summary to date is the following.

There are issues and a Hot fix is already being produced.

If you get stutters especially in VR try the latest Nvidia Studio Driver and not the standard Nvidia Gaming Driver.

Shift Z was not working but a fix is available. When you do get it working it was white writing now not the usual Red. There is a procedure to change the colour and the font size.

Other than that there has been alot of experimenting to get the projectors to display a great picture.ie turn the Atmospherics off.

Hi all,

For anyone left still using P3D, LM have just released the expected Hotfix 1 as of yesterday.

You just need to download the client to get the update.

Happy flying and go Learjet 45XR.
