FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 15th 2010
FlightdeckSoft.com, a leading provider of integrated avionics simulations for Microsoft Flight Simulator, announced today the availability of Jet45 Advanced Avionics Suite (AAS) version 1.0.0.3. This version provides a more robust and user friendly interface to hardware and adds support for several interface options such as OpenCockpits, Flight Deck Solutions Sys cards, Pokeys, and Leo Bodnar interface modules including a FREE interface program to the Pokeys55T interface card to allow up to 25 rotary encoders to interface with the Avionics package seamlessly.
Numerous features have been added to the system such as flashing CAS messages with aural alerts, and the ability to acknowledge warnings and cautionary messages via hardware. The Primary Flight Displays (PFDs) have been made to be truly independent and each with their own course and bearing indications. Autopilot annunciations have also been upgraded for the ADI. The heart of Jet45 AAS, the EFIS (Electronic Flight Information System) display controller, received an overhaul and as a result is able to control the entire PFD display from display of the desired bearing pointers, to arc/rose mode on the HSI.
FlightdeckSoft has also announced the development of the Flight Guidance Controller (FGC) for the Jet45 AAS package. The FGC will simulate 99% of the FGC functionality found in the Learjet 45 autopilot and use a simple interface to hardware to ease the frustrations of integrating an MCP/FGC with hardware into MSFS as experienced on other avionics packages. The company has disclosed that when released, the FGC will be an included component in the main JET45 package and will result in a price increase, but existing customers and those that purchase Jet45 AAS prior to the release of the FGC will receive a substantial discount on the upgraded package with the FGC.
The FMS/CDU package continues development but has been slowed somewhat in favor of completing the Flight Guidance Controller first. More information as well as the updates can be found at www.flightdecksoft.com.
Feel free to discuss the update and upcoming FGC development at the dedicated JET45AAS forum at Hangar 45.
