Goodmorning from Virginia! (Maciej Muranowski)

(Original thread started on 01-13-15 by Maciej Muranowski)

My name is Maciej (Macie-j, Machie - would be closest to proper pronunciation to make your life easier before you gave up trying to figure out "how do you say it") and I live in Roanoke VA. I spent countless hours searching through internet for ideas how to build a home flight simulator. Most of the time I ended up lost and overwhelmed....until I found Hangar45. This place has the most condensed and to the point database "how to"!

After doing some reading, I decided to join the Hangar45 and start my own project. I am not a pilot nor had much to do with flying in the past except as a passenger on big transatlantic jets but always had a soft spot for an idea of flying. I got the bug years ago when my dad worked on his glider pilot license. I will never forget the day he gave up his seat to go up and sent me to see what it is all about.

So here I am, determined, patient, ready to learn and embrace all what it takes to make it happen!

Hi Maciej, Welcome to the Hangar! We are glad that you came to the same conclusion as the rest of us about choosing the Lear45 as your sim platform. You can go wrong and you have a heck of a support group behind you.

I will tell the story about L45-013 that you have there to everyone. For those of you who have been paying attention, I actually skipped over frame number L45-013 thinking that no one would want to be associated with the #13. Well, as it turns out I have been reserving it for the past three years for Maciej to come along!

Again, welcome aboard and looking forward to working with you and seeing your project unfold. Remember to have fun and enjoy the journey!

Hey Maciej,  Welcome to the club. That's what everyone will say, where are all you guys? You found I think, the best site for building a Lear45. You will have all kinds of friends here including people from all over the world, I like some folks who live in Australia, although I live in Colorado. With your call sign I thought you were from Memphis, my wife is an Elvis historian and so I know a lot about him. Don't worry about 13. I think it is a good number. I am sure you will have some questions so feel free to ask and good luck.
