"It is compatible with most small/medium Jet and turboprop aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Prepar3D."

Today it's x-mas! Thank you so so much Jason!!! I am totally overwhelmed! The absolutely best news for me as a flightdeck builder for general jet aircraft. I will love it! Purchased and totally excited!

Hey Jason, great news and I am excited as well! As soon as I get a few PayPal funds put together I will be making an official purchase of the FMS software to show my appreciation of your hard work and dedication to this project and airframe.

One quick question: Are there any changes from the last beta version we were testing and the release version?  Thank you again Jason!

(Posted by Mark Speechley on 12-10-16)

Thanks Jason, payment already made. Looking forward to installing the software. I'm moving the bed in now, next to the fridge, pool table and bar. No reason to go back to the house anymore. Sorry, got too excited, forgot about the wife for a few seconds!

Please download the software directly from my website at:

http://flightdecksoft.com/uns1fms/

The software will install using the Flight1 wrapper just as Jet45 does. For those that had previously provided payment via Paypal, I have emailed installation licenses to you. All others can pay via the Flight1 installation program. I am very excited and nervous to get all of your feedback.

Hey guys, I just purchased the FMS software to include myself as a proud owner of the program! Jason, are there any changes from the last beta version that Shane and I were testing? I will still replace the old modules with these new modules but I was just wondering if there was anything new we should be looking for. Thanks again Jason for all your hard work on the software!

(Posted by Jason Hite on 12-15-16)

Ron, thanks for your purchase! There are a few minor changes but nothing you should notice. During late testing I was seeing the FMS skip the last few waypoints during a precision approach. I think I got that licked but please attempt to fly an approach to minimums and let me know how it performs.

Hey guys, I purchased the FMS software tonight and had it installed in a few minutes. As Ron mentioned, we have been testing the FMS for several months but I wanted to install the version the rest of you guys will be installing after purchase. This should eliminate any potential differences between the released version and the version we have been testing so we can hopefully offer suggestions if you have issues with install etc.

I have uploaded v1.1 of the FMS/MFD to my website. Several bug fixes are included. This version includes a new keyboard interface to a single Arduino nano board. This eliminates the need for the pricey Hagstrom boards and assures you can run as many FMS keyboards on one PC that you want. Not sure why you'd need more than 2, but who am I to dictate!

WARNING: DO NOT UP GRAGE TO V1.1 UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ARDUINO PCB FROM RON!

Thanks Jason for all your hard work on the FMS software!

As Jason has pointed out, if you already have a real CDU and are using our Hagstrom solution, you need the Arduino Nano PCB solution. All you have to do is let me know you want it and I will send you the updated hardware with no charge. I have cut and paste the announcement from another thread here to insure that everyone has the opportunity to see this important change in hardware. Here is the post:

"I am exited to announce that Jason Hite with Flight Deck Soft has came up with a new and improved solution for the CDU/FMS! First let me explain what the issue was that prompted him to research and find this discovery.

The issue: The Hagstrom card which is the interface card that we currently use for the CDU works great if you have only one CDU. It is also a little on the expensive side at close to $100 as you know if you have purchased one. The problem identified is that if you plan to use two CDUs in your simulator, you will need to install the Hagstrom software on two separate computers to get them to work properly, otherwise, the key strokes from each CDU will conflict with the other CDU if they are on the same computer. With that said, we could resolve the problem with two computers and two $100 Hagstrom cards and of course additional programming and set up.

The solution: Jason has discovered that the solution to this issue is the Arduino Nano interface card!

Arduino Nano

First, it cost is less than $3 per unit!

Second, we can run two CDU/FMS's on the same computer with no key stroke interference with the other.

Last but not least, this solution will be true "Plug and Play"! Unlike the Hagstrom card which required setup, and assignment of the rows and columns, Jason has done all the setup and it will be included with future software releases or updates! Once the software is down loaded to the Arduino Nano, your done! (As long as the real CDU/FMS is wired in the same matrix as our known CDU/FMS's that we have acquired so far.) Worse case scenario would be that we would reassign the pins on the Nano which would take just a few minutes.

So again, a big thanks to Jason Hite for the continued development of the CDU/FMS software! One additional point, future releases of the FMS software will be geared toward this new Nano solution and the old Hagstrom solution will no longer work. And that is where I come into play. I have developed a new clad board to accept the Arduino Nano and I will be sending out a FREE upgrade kit to everyone who already has a CDU from Shane and or the CDU kit that I have made. Here are a couple photos of the new Nano solution:

If you would like to get up to speed with this new solution, please post here or email me! This update kit will include everything you need including the Arduino Nano interface card and even a new smoked lens to give you the option of swapping your original lens out if you want. Again, thanks to Jason for his continued work and development of the FMS software!

For more information on how to obtain a real CDU with with the Project45 backer and Nano interface please go to this thread found HERE

Thanks Jason and Ron for the continued development. I have been looking forward to the V1.1 so now I'll need to jump on board and update to the Nano, so Ron please put my name down for the kit. Just hit me up for all expenses to get me back on track.

Hey Mark, I should have checked the hangar before I sent you an email. No cost to those already invested in the CDU and FMS. I will get everyone's packages in the mail Wednesday.

Is the FlightDeckSoft UNS FMS still available for purchase. If so, where?

(Posted by Shane Barnes on 08-29-17)

You should be able to purchase the software at Jason's site: Flightdecksoft.com

http://flightdecksoft.com/uns1fms/

Click on FMS Installation File DOWNLOAD. From there a Flight1 purchase wrapper will appear and follow the cues from there.

Jason, please check the current FMS program file version 1.1 within the flight1-wrapper. It seems to be that this release has a bug. It does NOT search for Com ports on start-up. So the Arduino can not be initialized for the CDU. The exe-file of the FMS program has 840kb size.

I fixed this issue with an exe-file from Shane which is 842 kb in size and which does the com port search at start-up.

Hi,

I have the Jet45 Suite and I am looking to purchase the FMS.  I would like to known if the FMS work with SIDS and STARS?

Thank you,

Charlie

Hey Charlie.  The FMS contains a full database of SID and STAR procedures for all airports that have them.

Jason Hite FlightDeckSoft

Thank you!

Hi Charlie,

You may already know but in case you missed it, the database for the FMS can also be updated thru Navigraph if you have a subscription.
