Arduino & LUA Code

Dear Jason,

I purchased the whole Jet45 package from you a few months ago. I have a Boeing FMS so I didn't need the software.

I have Alan Norris' PFD/MFD/RMU Bezels and MIP which I purchased. He used 2 Arduino cards to interface to Jet45. He didn't keep the scripts. Do you have them? And LUA code if you used the FSUIPC coding?

I am restarting building my sim. I am running P3D V4 on Windows 10 and FSUIPC5. I am a very experienced coder as I am a retired System Engineer.

Jason,

I would at least appreciate an answer. As I purchased JET45, I hope the lack of answer is not indicative of JET45's support level.

Thanks

Hey Dave,

I just reached out to Jason to let him know that you posted a few questions related to Jet45.  He will be getting with you shortly.

Dave,

My sincere apologies for the delayed response.  Alan and I have never coordinated on the Arduino/LUA interfaces so I don't have any of those scripts.  I have been working with Ron and Shane over the past several months on a "built in" Arduino interface.  We already do this for the FMS (more on that later) and it is truly a plug-and-play implementation.  The next release of Jet45 will add Arduino support for the display units (DU), EFIS, MCR panels, and the RMUs.

Now onto the FMS.  While use of the Boeing FMS will certainly navigate the aircraft in the simulator, you will not get the proper indications on the ND/PFD.  I have designed all of the Jet45 modules to work together and have purposely not attempted to have the software compatible with other 3rd party applications as that is a nightmare to maintain.  I'd be curious to know to what extend the software "works" with the Boeing FMS.  The majority of Jet45 users either use the default flight planning in FSX/P3D, or use the Jet45 FMS.  Future versions of the Jet45 suite will remove support for use of FSUIPC offsets to tell the PFD/ND what to show.

Hope this answers your immediate questions.

Best,

Jason

I bought all three of Allan’s computers he used in his project. I am gonna try to dig them out from boxes where I packed everything during move and see if I can find some LUA scripts.
